Game Changer for your Quilts: Quilt Facing

Have you heard of quilt facing?

Have you ever loved a quilt so much that you thought the binding would distract from the design? Well, I have news for you! Ok, maybe it's not news to some of you, but it was definitely news to me when I saw it the first time in a quilt shop!

I walked in and saw this beautiful Alison Glass quilt that did not have binding, but also didn't have raw edges either. I was baffled. The shop was so busy, so I waited in line to ask how did they made it look like that.

That's when I learned about quilt facing. If you've never heard of it, quilt facing is a technique that finishes the edges of your quilt without the traditional binding. It gives your quilt a clean, modern look that lets the design shine. Here's an example. If you look at the corner and edges, they are somehow turned to the back of the quilt, making the front look very modern and polished. I love finishing my wall hanging quilts this way.

I’m excited to share my latest YouTube tutorial where I walk you through the steps of quilt facing. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or just starting out, this technique is a game-changer! In the video, I cover everything from selecting the right fabric to the final stitch, ensuring you have all the tips and tricks you need to master this method.
