HOW IS THIS HAPPENING AGAIN?

Hi, friends! Just stopping by to give you a few updates. First, as you know, we are military. So here we are, moving again. This time, we are leaving sunny Florida for (frozen) Virginia. We are moving in two weeks, so the packing and madness have begun.

But in the meantime, since I will be offline for a little bit while we get established, I worked ahead to release a few videos and patterns for you to enjoy.

First, my FREE Goal Setting Guide for busy moms. This guide goes over 7 steps that you could implement (together or pick just a few), with templates and worksheets to help you finally finish your quilts in 2024.

And feel free to share the link to the free guide with your friends

Next, I share my video on how to turn any quilt block into a pillow. You might have those "orphan" blocks, the ones you made just to test out a block before you cut into that pretty fabric, or scraps, or you need an emergency sewing room decor or pillow. Watch the video on how to quickly make any quilt block into a pillow.

And if you like that cute sewing machine quilt block pattern, it is now available on my website. Did you know that it was featured in issue 61 of Make Modern Magazine? Grab your copy below, with full color instructions, coloring page, printable full size placement guide, and templates.

Lastly, I am sharing my Forget Me Not quilt pattern. I just released it this week, in remembrance of my mother, who passed away due to Alzheimer's. This pattern is based on a quilt I have made for her in her last year of life, with three dimensional pinwheels. They are so much fun to make, and they provide tactile and visual stimulation for the ones who need it. Watch below a tutorial on making these three dimensional pinwheels.

WHat to make with 2 fat quarters? Do you ever buy fabric just because it’s so pretty… and then it sits there while you wait for the “perfect” project? No? Just me? This week I decided to stop saving the good fabric and actually use it. Have you heard of quilt facing? Have you ever loved a quilt so much that you thought the binding would distract from the design? Well, I have news for you! Ok, maybe it's not news to some of you, but it was definitely news to me when I saw it the first time in a quilt shop! I walked in and saw this beautiful Alison Glass quilt that did not have binding, but also didn't have raw edges either. I was baffled. The shop was so busy, so I waited in line to ask how did they made it look like that....
